Junior Gabe Slotnick and master’s candidate Jongsu Lee received “Outstanding Performance” recognition for their submission to the 2010 Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards in the category of “Engineered Live Recording.” The pair submitted their recording of Mike Formanek and Tim Murphy’s Sylvia Adalman Artist Recital Series performance of new jazz works at Peabody on November 11, 2009.
