Irene Kim, a Graduate Performance Diploma candidate studying with Boris Slutsky, won second prize in the 34th Annual Carmel Music Society Competition in Calif. Kim performed her winning program of Beethoven’s Sonata in D Major, Op. 10, No. 3; Liszt’s Sonetto del Petrarca, No. 104; and Ravel’s La Valse at the finalists’ concert on May 15.
