Freshman pianist wins composition competition
Freshman Jennifer Campbell won the Music Teacher’s National Association Young Artist Composition Competition in Delaware. Her composition for violin and piano, Only the Beginning, was also given an Honorable Mention at the MTNA Eastern Division level, which consisted of 13 states.
Junior wins in 2011 Durham Symphony Young Artists Competition
Junior Christian Kazmierski, in the studio of Stephen Wyrczynski, is a winner of the 2011 Durham Symphony Young Artists Competition. He performed the Walton Viola Concerto with the Durham Symphony Orchestra on March 6.
