Local NATS winners

Six Peabody students, all students of Phyllis Bryn-Julson, won places in the Maryland/D.C. chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition held on March 12 at Howard County Community College. First-place winners in the competition were Marie Marquis, also a student of William Sharp, and Francesca Di Domenico; second-place winners were Molly Young and Sarah Hayashi. Melissa Wimbish and Anais Naharro-Murphy received an honors designation. They will advance to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Vocal Competition, held at Shenendoah University in Winchester, Va., on April 1 and 2.
