The Dark Hours (2007), by composer Judah Adashi (faculty, MM ’02, DMA ’11), is included on BassoonMusic, a new CD by bassoonist Peter Kolkay, featuring pianist Alexandra Nguyen. The Dark Hours was commissioned for Kolkay by Concert Artists Guild and the BMI Foundation’s Carlos Surinach Fund. The new disc consists of contemporary American works, by Adashi, John Fitz Rogers, Katherine Hoover, Paul Moravec, George Perle, and Russell Platt.
