Jake Runestad (MM ’11, Composition) will return to the John Duffy Composers Institute at the Virginia Arts Festival with a full fellowship. At the institute, one of his chamber operas will be workshopped and performed by professional vocalists and a chamber orchestra made up of musicians from the Virginia Symphony. The institute takes place May 21 to June 5 in Norfolk, Va.
