The Uganda-Baltimore Alliance: Cello faculty artist helps young African musicians

Cello faculty artist Alison Wells, and 16-year-old daughter Olivia Sharkey, are traveling to Uganda this summer as part of TUBA, The Uganda-Baltimore Alliance, which reaches about 60 young Ugandan musicians in African villages. Peabody students, who are in a brass quintet called Eastern Edge, will spend four weeks in Uganda over winter break, helping mentor the group.
