Inna Faliks (BM ’99, MM ’01, GPD ’03, Piano) played a recital at the International Keyboard Festival at Mannes, recorded for the selective Disklavier Library of Yamaha, played solo and chamber music recitals in LACMA, performed a recital at Music in the Loft, Chicago, and was artistic director and performer at the Pro Musicis Liszt Festival in NYC. She toured Canada, perform in her poetry-music series Music/Words at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, with music of Beethoven and a world premiere by John Eaton for piano and baritone; and will be back in Chicago on Oct 22 for Music/Words collaboration with Poetry Foundation, at Curtiss Hall. Other performances this season include recitals in Paris, including Salle Cortot, concerti with Minnesota Sinfonia and at Peninsula Festival in Wisconsin, recitals and master classes in Notre Dame and in Washington College and numerous radio appearances, including WFMT and WQXR. She will perform as part of the International Beethoven Project’s festival REVOLUTION 2012 at the National Pastime Theater’s Mason Hall in Chicago on Thursday, Sept. 13, at 3:00 pm. Faliks recently joined the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music as associate professor of piano.
