The Baltimore Sun Music Critic Tim Smith reviewed a performance by faculty artist Michael Hersch in the opening concert of Peabody’s 2012-2013 concert series. The review was in a blog post on Clef Notes and Drama Queens, titled “Peabody Institute features recent works by composer Michael Hersch.”

Louis Weeks has written music for documentary

Louis Weeks, 24, a Preparatory composition student of Judah Adashi, has written original music for What Time is Left, a documentary by Dakin Henderson. The film, which follows the extended Henderson family as they care for two grandmothers living in the same facility, was screened at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts from Sept. 20-26.

Anastasia Pike will give lecture recital

Preparatory faculty member Anastasia Pike (MM ’07, Harp), a former student of Jeanne Chalifoux, and Grant Gilman (BM ’04, Violin; MM ’06, Conducting) gave a lecture recital as part of the Williamsburg Music Club’s concert series on Oct. 17,  at Bruton Parish in Williamsburg, Va.
