Bass-baritone Peter Tomaszewski (MM ‘10, GPD 12, Opera) is currently a Young Artist at the Palm Beach Opera in Florida. Last summer Tomaszewski performed in the Young Victorian Theatre Company’s Mikado “as the perpetually self-conflicted Pooh-Bah . . . and reveals quite a flair for comedy. He puts his warm, hefty bass-baritone to telling use throughout, shaping phrases with stylish flair and extracting something colorful out of nearly every syllable of text.” (Tim Smith, The Baltimore Sun). This fall he sang the role of Figaro in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Maryland Concert Opera, the role of Guglielmo in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte with Baltimore Concert Opera, and the role of Grégorio in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette with Annapolis Opera.
