Angel Lam news

Angel Lam (MM ’03, DMA ’11, Composition; MM ’05, Music Theory) Memories for orchestra will be premiered by Chicago’s Northwest Symphony in February 2014, conducted by Maestra Kim Diehnelt.  Lam will also write a new musical composition in collaboration with The Interlochen Arts Academy Wind Band and Academy Film Department for 2013-2014. The story is based on the composer’s childhood memory of taking painting lessons with an impressionist painter. Working with the film department at Interlochen, her story will be made into a film and shown simultaneously with the live performance of her music composition. The work will be showcased at The Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, Concordia College in Minnesota, and Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Wisconsin.
