On January 21, Thumbscrew, a New York jazz trio, released its debut album with Cuneiform Records. Members of the group include Peabody faculty artist Michael Formanek, bass, Mary Halvorson, guitar, and Tomas Fujiwara, drums. The album and a sound clip of its opening track, “Cheap Knock Off,” is featured in the Chicago Reader. The album can be purchased on Amazon.
