The Atlas String Quartet- Lavena Johanson (MM ’13, Cello), Master of Music violin students Joshua Hong and Ethan Siegel, and MM viola student Eric D’Alessandro- received the 2014 Yale Gordon Chamber Fellowship, awarded annually to one or two chamber groups exhibiting exceptional performance and community engagement skills. This outreach fellowship lasts for the term of one academic school year with the goal of bringing Peabody’s ‘cream of the crop’ out into Baltimore City Senior Centers. The ensemble has performed at Roland Park Place, Basilica Place Apartments, and Symphony Manor Assisted Living.
