Recording arts and sciences faculty member Neil Thompson Shade was elected fellow of the Acoustical Society of America for “contributions in acoustics education and to the integration of electro-acoustic systems in architectural acoustics.” Shade established the Master of Arts program in Acoustic Studies at Peabody in 2000 and has provided audio/visual systems consulting design on over 450 projects.
