Michael Repper joins Baltimore Symphony Orchestra as 2014-2015 BSO-Peabody Conducting Fellow

Michael RepperDMA conducting student Michael Repper will join the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra  for its 2014-2015 season as this year’s recipient of the BSO-Peabody Conducting Fellowship. Established in 2007 by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and Peabody Institute, the program provides intensive mentoring and experience for promising conductors and is designed to give them the musical foundations and the leadership skills they will need to take the helm of a major orchestra.

Repper currently serves as the assistant conductor of the Peabody Singers, the Peabody-Hopkins Chorus, and the Peabody Concert Orchestra under Ed Polochick. He has led the Peabody Symphony Orchestra in multiple recordings of new compositions and conducts Musicians of Mercy, a Symphony Orchestra in Metropolitan Washington, D.C. that performs concerts to raise money for local and national charities.
