The Peabody Concert Orchestra was selected as one of seven finalists for The American Prize in orchestral performance, 2014 for their performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet on November 22, 2013. The American Prize celebrates American excellence in the performing arts. Winners, runners-up, and any citation recipients will be selected next month. PCO is led by Hajime Teri Murai, Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Director of Orchestral Activities, and has its first concert on October 1 at 8:00 pm in the Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall.
