Chen Zhangyi, a current DMA candidate at Peabody, was one of five artists who was awarded the Young Artist Award 2014. The five artists, including Chen, received their awards at the National Arts Council’s annual Arts Awards alongside the three recipients of the Cultural Medallion, Singapore’s highest cultural honor. The CM and YAA recipients will be eligible for grants to further their practice.
