Leela Breithaupt (BM ’93, MM ’96, Flute) was featured on the cover of Flute Talk Magazine’s October edition in which the first of her series of articles on Historically Informed Performance for Modern Flutists was published. She has taught “Go Baroque” masterclasses on this topic at the Rice University Shepard School of Music and Interlochen Arts Academy.
Breithaupt’s most recent performances include solo engagements in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in June 2014, Baroque trio concerts at the Twin Cities Early Music Festival with her Baroque trio Les Ordinaires in September 2014, and solo performances on Bach’s Orchestral Suite no. 2 in B minor with Bourbon Baroque in September 2014. She has also recorded her second CD with Barthold Kuijken and the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra in October 2014 in a program of French Baroque music called, The Versailles Revolution which will be released in early 2015.
