On November 9, Dan Trahey (BM ’00, Tuba, Music Education) was recognized as being the first American to win the Austrian Brass Band Championship, as tubist with the RET Brass Band of Innsbruck Austria. The prize comes with a trip to the World Brass Band Championship to be held in Frieburg, Germany in May of 2015.
