Lisa Choi wins second in Ross-Roberts competition

Lisa Choi, a preparatory student of Rachel Choe, flute, and of the Pathways program of Peabody Preparatory, competed at the Ross-Roberts Competition for High School Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion Players held by the Friday Morning Music Club Competition in Washington DC on March 7. She won the second prize performing the first movement of Mozart Concerto in D major, first movement of Ibert Concerto and Paganini Caprice No.24. No first prize was awarded. She performed the winners concert on March 11.

She competed at the final around of the concerto competition of the Duquesne Young Artists National Competition in Pittsburg, PA on March 6 and at the final round of the U.S. Army Orchestra’s Young Artist Competition in Arlington Virginia on March 9, 2015.
