Peabody Dean Fred Bronstein today announced a new program to provide student and faculty grants for projects that advance Peabody’s educational and strategic goals. The Dean’s Incentive Grants will seed projects that focus on innovation, interdisciplinary initiatives, and/or community partnerships. Up to five students and up to five faculty members will be awarded grants in the 2015-2016 academic year. The deadline for proposal submission is August 1, 2015; awards will be announced in October 2015.
In his e-mail announcing the grants, Dean Bronstein wrote: “New ideas and creative thinking will be critical to our success as we work to reinvigorate the Peabody Institute for the 21st century. Forward-looking initiatives in innovative learning, interdisciplinary collaborations, and community connectivity will broaden Peabody’s vision and strengthen both our relevance and visibility across Johns Hopkins, and throughout the region, the country, and the world, while adding depth to the educational experience our students enjoy.”
Project parameters, procedural guidelines, and required proposal elements are available on the Dean’s Page.
