Claire Weber Wins Third Place in James Toland Vocal Arts Competition

Claire WebberClaire Weber (MM ’15 Voice), mezzo-soprano, won third place in the Emerging Artists category of the James Toland Vocal Arts Competition in Oakland, California this past June. Ms. Weber, a student of Dr. Steven Rainbolt, recently sang the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with Bel Cantanti Opera in October, and will be competing in the Concours International de Chant-Piano Nadia et Lili Boulanger competition taking place in Paris this November 12-15 with pianist John Henderson (MM ’15, Composition). Ms. Weber was recently appointed to teach Singing in French and French Mélodie for the Peabody voice department.
