Music journalist, musician, recording engineer, producer, and author Howard Massey’s recent December 9 guest lecture at Peabody, “The Great British Recording Studios,” was the subject of an article in The Johns Hopkins HUB by Saralyn Lyons entitled “Inside the iconic (and accidental) sound of the British invasion.” The lecture discussed the origins of the “British Sound” and described the people, equipment, and recording techniques involved.
