The program is sponsored by the Warnock Foundation and Apple Inc. Assisted by master’s student Edwin Huet (BM ’15, Computer Music) and senior Matthew Sullivan, Mr. Dolby and Mr. Hill guide students work toward finished compositions, some of which involve vocals recorded by themselves or their peers. “Picked based on merit to join the workshop, the students have responded enthusiastically, Dolby said, to not only recording original music, but also to learning about soundwaves, chords and music composition,” wrote reporter Wesley Case.“When you see the glee and delight on their faces as they’re jumping around, making these beats, it’s really a delight to see,” said Mr. Dolby. Students will also produce music videos for their original work at Station North’s new JHU/MICA Film Centre. Read the full article here.
