Peabody Students and Alumni Collaborate on Original Works for SG Inspirations CD and Concert

4bf1e0_10f90afef1b443ea935aad0dd7cb546cGPD violin student Alan Choo and master’s piano student Hengyue Lin are working with five Peabody composition students and alumni on SG Inspirations, a new music initiative to celebrate life and culture in Singapore for the nation’s 50th anniversary. The composers are alumni Chen Zhangyi (MM ’11; DMA ’15, Composition) and Wynne Fung (MM ’15, Composition), and students Chew Jun An, Phang Kok Jun, and Tan Yuting. The project, supported by the SG50 Celebration Fund, includes a commemorative CD recording and release of the nine original works engineered by recording arts and composition student Nicolaus Dulworth, as well as performances of the works by Mr. Choo and Ms. Lin at the SG Inspirations concert on Monday, December 21 at 8:00 pm at Esplanade Recital Studio in Singapore.
