Denyce Graves Speaks at 34th Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration

mlk_speakersFaculty artist Denyce Graves was a keynote speaker at this year’s 34th Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration event at Johns Hopkins on Friday, January 8. This was the first event held after Dr. Levi Watkins Jr., who founded the event in 1982, passed away in April at the age of 70. Both keynote speakers had been close friends of Dr. Watkins. The event was featured in an article on The Johns Hopkins HUB, available here.
