Marin Alsop, Peabody Conservatory faculty member, was featured in The New York Times article, “Cracking a Glass Ceiling With the Maestro’s Baton.” The article describes her personal experience with the gender imbalance in conducting. Ms. Alsop comments on how women must navigate the field differently than men to succeed and encourages women to stay inspired in spite of discouragement.
