The Preparatory Wind Orchestra is Selected as a Semi Finalist for the American Prize
The Preparatory Wind Orchestra, under the direction of Elijah Wirth, has been selected as a semi-finalist in the school division for the American Prize in Band/Wind Ensemble. As a semi-finalist, The Preparatory Wind Orchestra will be considered for a position as a finalist, runner-up, or winner for the American Prize in Band/Wind Ensemble 2016.
Jenine Brown and Nathan Cornelius to Present Their Research at APCAM
Music theory faculty member Jenine Brown and Nathan Cornelius, doctoral candidate in guitar and masters candidate in theory pedagogy, will present their research, entitled “The Interaction of Repetition and Short-Term Memory in Melodic Dictation Tasks,” at the 15th Annual Auditory Perception, Cognition, and Action Meeting on November 17 in Boston, Mass.
Alexandra Razskazoff Makes Debut at Minnesota Opera in Wagner’s Das Rheingold
Soprano Alexandra Razskazoff (BM ’14, Voice) made her professional debut at Minnesota Opera as Wellgunde in Wagner’s Das Rheingold on Nov. 12. Das Rheingold will run at the Ordway Theatre until Nov. 20. Find more information and purchase tickets here.
