The Place Where You Started by Mark Weiser Premiered by Portland State Opera

The Place Where You Started, an opera by alumnus Mark Weiser (BM ’91, Piano; MM ’93, Composition) and librettist Amy Punt, was premiered by Portland State University Opera, under the direction of Kristine McIntyre, on November 2.  The opera deals primarily with regret and rediscovery, and also features a major character who is an undocumented immigrant.
