Trio Appassionata– comprised of Andrea Casarrubios (BM ’11, Cello), Lydia Chernicoff (BM ’10, Violin; MM ’12, Violin/Pedagogy), and Ronaldo Rolim (BM ’10, MM ’11, AD ’13, Piano)– will perform as a part of Music at St. David’s on Friday, February 3 at 7:30 pm at St. David’s church in Baltimore. Trio Appassionata will present a program titled Passacaglia: Walking the Streets of Time, where they explore the passacaglia form in the piano trio literature, including trios by Haydn and Shostakovich, and the world premiere luzAzul, a passacaglia for piano trio by Ms. Casarrubios.
