Manuel Barrueco and the Beijing Guitar Duo Receive Positive Reviews from the American Record Guide

Faculty artist Manuel Barrueco (BM ’75, Guitar) received positive reviews by The American Record Guide for his CD’s Tarrega and Chaccone: A Baroque Recital. American Record Guide comments, “Manuel Barrueco clearly loves and respects this music, and gives us a performance of taste and honesty.” China West, a CD featuring Mr. Barrueco and the Beijing Guitar Duo, consisting of artist diploma candidate Meng Su (PC ’09, GPD ’11, MM ’16, Guitar; GPD ’15, Chamber Music) and Yameng Wang (MM ’08, GPD ’11, Guitar) also received a positive review. American Record Guide describes their performance as, “consistently joyous yet subtle, technically flawless, [and] beautiful.”
