If Music Be The Food Presents Season Finale Concert on April 26

12993606_247088895638780_6359088491157559008_nIf Music Be The Food, a benefit concert series initiated in the Baltimore area by Beverly Wu (BM ’16, Violin) and Lior Willinger (MM ’16, Piano), will present its season finale concert on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:30 pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore. The Performance Academy String Quartet, comprised of students from the Peabody Preparatory, will perform movements from Shostakovich’s Quartet No. 8. The Baltimore Guitar Duo, comprised of DMA candidates Isaac Greene and James Keretses, will perform Celso Machado’s Imagens du Nordeste and Victor Manuel Amaral Ramirez’s Saggio. Faculty artists Michael Kannen and Yong Hi Moon will present Beethoven’s Seven Variations on Mozart’s ‘Bei Männern welche Liebe fühlen.’ The Taku Wind Quintet will perform Astor Piazolla’s Libertango. The program concludes with the St. Bernard Trio, including Brandon Garbot, violin; Zachary Mowitz, cello; and master’s student Sahun Sam Hong, piano, performing Beethoven’s joyous Piano Trio in G major.

If Music Be The Food is a volunteer based concert series designed to increase awareness and support for those struggling with food insecurity in our community. All tickets sales benefit the Maryland Food Bank. Audience members are also welcome to bring non-perishable food items for donation.
