Symphony Number One, founded and directed by DMA conducting student Jordan Randall Smith, will present their season finale concert on Friday, April 28 at 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 29 at 8:00 pm at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore. The program will feature the world premiere of Approaching Eternity by Nicholas Bentz, a senior studying composition with Kevin Puts and violin with Herbert Greenberg. The new work will set the record for the largest new world premiere in Baltimore in the past three seasons. The season finale concert will also feature Charles Ives’ Symphony No. 3, a family sing-along with orchestra and organ, and an announcement for the SNO season opener for the 2017-18 season.
