Zach Gulaboff Davis, a DMA candidate studying composition with Michael Hersch, has been awarded the National Federation of Music Club’s Young Composers Award for his composition, Piano Trio No. 1, the same piece that awarded him top prize in Chamber Music Amici’s 2016 Composition Competition. Mr. Davis was also recently awarded second place in Southeastern Composers League’s 2017 Philip Slates Memorial Competition for Graduate Students for his composition, Sonata for Two Pianos.
