James LoweBaltimore School of Music Director James Lowe (MM ’09, GPD ’12, Guitar), a classical guitarist by training, was among the 59 business owners who graduated August 2, 2017, from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program in Baltimore. The graduates participated in more than 100 hours of in-class training held at Johns Hopkins University. “People often overlook the economic impact of the arts,” Lowe said. “We often hear how the arts are dying because of technology and cultural changes, but that simply isn’t true – it’s evolving and we need to evolve with it. The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program has given me the tools to prove just how much of a powerhouse arts entrepreneurship can be.”
