James Morris (’68, Voice) sang his 1,000th performance at the Metropolitan Opera on Tuesday, October 17. He performed Timur in Puccini’s Turandot. He made his house debut in 1971 as the King in Aida. Morris went on to perform other roles, most notably Wotan in the Ring Cycle under James Levine.
Preparatory students joined the Lark Quartet on WBJC on the Music in Maryland program as a part of the Candlelight Concert series. Students from the Peabody Preparatory Pre-College Violin Program played on the program, which aired on Saturday, October 21. They performed on Mendelssohn’s Octet in E-flat Major, Op. 20 Movements I & IV.
