The Aspen String Trio, comprised of faculty artist Victoria Chiang, viola, Michael Mermagen (BM ’84, Cello), cello, and David Perry, violin, will be touring South Carolina in January. They will be featured in Converse College’s Guest Artist Series, presenting a concert on Friday, January 19, at 7:30 pm. They will play works by Beethoven, Strauss, Klein, and Dohnányi. The trio will then travel to Furman University and perform as a part of their Sound Quality Concert Series on Tuesday, January 23, at 8:00 pm. This concert will feature guest artists Thomas Joiner, violin, and Anna Joiner, viola, playing Mozart’s Viola Quintet in C minor, K. 406. Finally, on Thursday, January 25, at 7:30 pm, they will perform at South Carolina Governor’s School of the Arts & Humanities as a part of their Pathways Recital Series.
