Thompson Street Opera Company in Chicago will present Uncle Alex by Joshua Bornfield (DMA ’13 Composition; MM ’14, Music Theory Pedagogy) with libretto by Caitlin Vincent (MM ’09, Voice) on Saturday, January 27, at 1:00 pm, as part of a multi-disciplinary event called Faulty Systems. The work was commissioned by Washington National Opera as part of the American Opera Initiative in 2013.
