JoAnn Kulesza Guest Conducts

JoAnn_KuleszaFaculty artist JoAnn Kulesza presented a master class and private coachings at University of Mississippi; Birmingham–Southern College, where Jacqueline J. Leary-Warsaw (DMA ’00, Voice) heads the music department; and Reinhardt University Waleska, Ga., in November. She will conduct Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Copland’s Canticle to Freedom in January, as guest conductor of the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the community chorus Arundel Vocal Arts Society on January 27, at 7:30 pm. This concert will also feature the winners of their concerto competition, which included Luka Stefanovic, cello, and Sean Kim, cello, both Peabody Preparatory students, and it will take place in Annapolis, Md. In February, she will also conduct the Baltimore Concert Opera’s Sweeney Todd.
