Mezzo-soprano Jenni Bank (BM ’06, Voice, ‘07, Opera) will make her New York City Opera debut in the American premiere of Brokeback Mountain by Charles Wuorinen in May. The show will be performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater, in New York City, with four shows. Thursday, May 31, at 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 2, at 2:00 pm, Sunday June 3, at 4:00 pm, and Monday, June 4, at 7:30 pm. Later in June, she will make her Carnegie Hall debut, singing the mezzo solos in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and Schubert’s Mass no. 4 in C. This concert will be with the New England Symphonic Ensemble on Sunday, June 17, at 2:00 pm. Recently, she made her debut with Seattle Opera, Hawaii Opera Theatre, Knoxville Opera, and Bard Music Festival, LA Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, the Oslo Opera House, and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic. She has also recently returned to the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Florentine Opera Company, and Baltimore Concert Opera.
