Pamela Stein Lynde Premieres Many New Works

Pamela Stein LyndePamela Stein Lynde (MM ’07, Voice) had her composition, From the Mountain, featured on American Public Media’s Performance Today program, which aired on Monday, October 15. She has also been a part of American Opera Projects’ Composers and the Voice Workshop for the last year, with a segment of her opera in progress, The Interaction Effect, being performed at the end of September on American Opera Projects’ Six Scenes program. More recently, she was invited to New Hampshire’s Avaloch Farm Music Institute to work with Triplicate Ensemble and write a new work based on a poem by poet and librettist Sokunthary Svay, which was recorded in September. Finally, her band, Owen Lake and the Tragic Loves, played at Princeton’s Unruly Sounds Festival and will release a new album, The Best of Your Lies, on November 30.
