Kyle Jones (MM ‘18, Saxophone) won the University of Texas-Austin’s annual Brass/Wind/Percussion Concerto Competition on November 11, 2018. He performed Florent Schmitt’s Legende for alto saxophone and orchestra, and as part of the winning package, he will have the opportunity to perform this rarely staged concerto with the UT orchestra.
