Luke Brimhall Joins Peabody Conservatory Jazz Faculty

Luke BrimhallTrombonist and educator Luke Brimhall will join the Peabody Conservatory jazz faculty beginning in the 2019- 20 academic year. Brimhall is currently a member of The U.S. Army Blues, a premier military jazz ensemble in Washington D.C. Prior to joining the Army Blues, Brimhall was a member of the Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band, where he toured the United States performing public jazz concerts and teaching masterclasses. Aside from serving in the U.S. Army, Brimhall is also a freelance musician in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. areas, performing and serving as an educator. Before joining the military in 2012, Brimhall was an active educator and freelance musician in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed the privilege of sharing the stage with a number of prominent jazz musicians as well as sharing his talents and instruction with aspiring musicians. Brimhall holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Florida and a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas.
