Preparatory student Miyabi Henriksen received first place at the following competitions. The Friday Morning Music Club High School Competition for Strings in Washington, DC, the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, the Peabody Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and the Columbia Orchestra Young Artist Competition in the Senior Division. Henriksen has a number of solo performances of the Dvorak Violin Concerto on February 15 with the Peabody Youth Orchestra, March 7 with the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra and May 16 with Columbia Orchestra.
