Senior Ruben Portillo and sophomore Nadja Jankovic, guitar students of Manuel Barrueco, received scholarships from Music for Humanity, which helps students with a passion for music who need financial assistance to continue their musical education at an accredited school. Portillo also received a scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation for the second year in a row.
