Junwen Liang, an incoming GPD piano student, won the first prize in the Philadelphia International Piano Competition (Senior Category) during his participation at the Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy (PYPA) from July 30-August 7. The first prize offers a cash prize, a Philadelphia Recital Invitation to the 2023 PYPA Piano Festival, and further concert opportunities will be confirmed by PYPA Artistic Director.
