Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition

Two Peabody students were among the winners of the 2011 Eastern Music Festival Concerto Competition. Junior Michael Delfin, a piano student of Boris Slutsky, performed Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in A major, S.125; and sophomore Dillon Meacham, a bassoon student of Philip Kolker, performed Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto in B-flat major, K.191 (mvt. 1).

World Piano Competition

MM candidate Tian Lu, a student of Boris Slutsky, won co-silver medal at the 55th World Piano Competition in Cinncinatti, Ohio.
