An article by Hollis Robbins, chair of Peabody’s Humanities Department, is featured in a special issue of Safundi: the Journal of South African and American Studies devoted to Quentin Tarintino’s film Django Unchained (2012). The article, “Django Unchained: Repurposing Western Film Music” examines Tarantino’s musical choices in creating the soundtrack to his controversial rescue-and-revenge set in antebellum America.
