The String Orchestra of Brooklyn, conducted by Eli Spindel, will perform Ciphers and Constellations for string orchestra and electronics by Alexandra Gardner (MM ’97, Composition) at Roulette in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday, March 23 at 8:00 pm. Lunar Ensemble will perform Ms. Gardner’s Bloom for cello and electronics and New Skin for flute and electronics at Pop Physique in Baltimore on Wednesday, April 6 at 8:00 pm. FiveOne Experimental Orchestra will perform Mint Conditioner for double bass and electronics at Ensemble Theater in Cleveland, Ohio on April 8-9 at 7:30 pm. The Shenendoah Conservatory Wind Ensemble, conducted by Tim Robblee, will perform Perseids at Shenendoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia on Saturday, April 9 at 8:00 pm. Ms. Gardner was featured on WRUV 90.1 FM on Gahlord Dewald’s radio program, Bleep Boop Beep on writing music for acoustic instruments with electronics. The interview is available here.
