Katherine Calvey (BM ’91, Flute) was guest conductor for the international cultural festival in celebration of 439th anniversary of the city of Saltillo, Mexico. In June, she was the guest soloist with the Sonora Philharmonic Orchestra and played principal flute with the Coahuila State Chamber Orchestra as they accompanied a concert by soprano Renée Fleming. In October, she will perform in the Cervatino Music Festival in Guanajuanto, Mexico.
